PUT YOUR BODY
IN GOOD HANDS
Release, Reenergize, Restore
I am a professional and qualified manual therapist with over twenty years experience in the massage and wellness industry. I believe in a whole body approach to balancing the musculoskeletal system and relieving pain.
Each tangible structure in the real world is a compromise between stability and mobility, which allows the structure to deal with all kinds of environmental stimuli responsively and without "breaking" essential parts.
Muscle "knots", spasms, adhesions, trigger points, fascial thickening, less-than-efficient movement patterns, and pain are all ultimately the body's attempt to deal with stability/mobility issues. By releasing these negative tensional patterns in the body and mobilizing the body through targeted stretching, new body alignment can be realized and pain reduced.
I am dedicated to keep you pain free and active! I provide results-based muscle therapy and no client's treatments are the same.
Each session is focus & tailored to reduce pain, speed up recovery, improve circulation, reduce your chance of injury, improve mobility/ROM, and improve performance.
My style is designed by incorporating techniques from multiple disciplines I have learned over the last twenty years as a manual therapist. These therapies include, but are not limited to, Swedish massage, trigger point, myofascial release, NMT,
Motion Stretch Release, cupping, Anatomy Trains Structural Integration balancing, and PEMF therapy.
"Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live!"
Sports massage works deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibres and connective tissue, and flushing away the toxins. Regular sessions will increase joint mobility and flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury during exercise.
Techniques are used which go as deep as is comfortable for the client, clear trigger points, and reduce chronic pain.
Muscle therapy techniques are used that aid in releasing holding patterns in the myofascial system, balance the posture, and align the body.
Sports alignment is critical for pain free peak performance.
PEMF therapy uses bursts of
high-voltage electromagnetic frequency waves to heal damaged tissues and bone, to relieve injury-related pain, and to even stimulate organs.
The idea is that pulses at low frequencies will pass through the skin and penetrate deep into muscles, tendons, and even organs to activate the cell's energy and encourage its natural repair mechanisms.
PEMF is catching on as a non-invasive way to approach injuries, chronic pain, and even chronic conditions like arthritis, depression, and diabetes.
Cupping is a type of alternative therapy that originated in China. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction may facilitate healing with blood flow. The suction helps facilitate the flow of “qi” in the body.
The old Chinese medical maxim holds that pain results from the congestion, stagnation, and blockage of Qi, or vital energy, vital fluids, lymph, phlegm, and blood. If pain is the essence of disease, then suffering is a result of obstructed or irregular flow in the body. Chinese cupping is therefore a method of breaking up the blockage to restore the body’s natural flow of energy.
Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.
A theraputic massage helps de-stress and loosen up your body and is great for those who have had a hard working week or feel like treating themselves to some TLC! The treatment consists of flowing strokes, kneading and gentle manipulations of the muscles performed at your chosen pressure. It is a pain-free way to relax both your muscles and your mind.
Studies have indicated that regular massage sessions not only help reduce stress, but can also boost the immune system’s cytotoxic capacity (activity level of the body’s natural “killer cells”) and enhances the body’s ability to deliver nourishment. Much like regular exercise, massage can keep the body fine-tuned, and can help keep the immune system strong and resilient.
